First Class have been busy investigating materials. They even designed and made their very own lava lamps using just bottles, oil, water, food colouring and Alka-Selter tablets!!! We discovered oil and water do not mix and water always settles on top. When we added a few drops of food colouring it dissolved in the water but not the oil. The Alker-Selker tablets caused an eruption and so we had our very own lava lamps. Maybe the kids would like to show you at home. Here's a few snaps of our very our little scientists carrying out some investigations.....
